It's Habitats:

The little Blue penguin can often be found on the coastlines of Australia (from Western Australia along the southern coast of Australia up to New South Wales) and New Zealand (from Northland to Stewart Island and the Chatham Islands).
They live on the offshores, but in breeding seasons they live about 25km away from the shore. The blue penguin’s mainly breeding areas include Hauraki Gulf islands, Wellington Harbor, Cook Strait islands and Marlborough Sounds, West Coast, Fiordland, Motunau Island, Banks Peninsula, Oamaru, Otago Peninsula, islands in Foveaux Strait and around Stewart Island, and the Chatham Islands.
Living offshore gives them one very mighty advantage; protection. Protection is considered one of the most important factors of life. Offshore islands provide protection from predators and disturbance. This way it’s safe for the parents and the new born babies, where they are new to the world.
